MLB GPP Plays – September 24, 2018

Good afternoon!  With only two more series left for every team we are nearing the end to a great MLB regular season.  It’s almost playoff time, but there is still money to be won in MLB contests on DraftKings and FanDuel and that’s the goal tonight.  In this article I will give you three pitchers and four stacks that I like for MLB tournaments.  Let’s dive in!

Corey Kluber @ Chicago White Sox | $10900 DK | $12000 FD

If you are paying up for pitching today I would recommend doing so with Corey Kluber.  This is Kluber’s second to last start of the regular season before he and the Indians get ready for the post season.  The Indians are locked into the third seed in the American League and can’t move up or down in the standings.  Until we hear of a limited pitch count or something of that nature, I would continue to roll out the Indians ace.  Kluber draws a matchup with the Chicago White Sox who he just faced in his last start.  He went eight innings allowing three earned runs and striking out 11 White Sox batters!  The White Sox have a projected lineup that has a 27.0% strikeout rate which is easily the highest on the slate.  That strikeout rate is absolutely bonkers and it gives Kluber a very nice floor in this matchup as strikeouts are a guarantee.  Kluber and the Indians are also a -250 favorite while the White Sox are implied to score 3.3 runs.  He has thrown 105 or more pitches in three of his last four starts so they don’t seem to be slowing down his workload.  If that continues, Kluber is a cash game lock and a fantastic play in tournaments tonight.  The price on FanDuel is expensive, but on DraftKings it’s very reasonable.
